Books that made me cry.

Hello everybody today i am going to talk to you about the books that have made me cry. I'm not going to go into much detail as i don't want to give anything away. For me i know it was a brilliant book when my collar from my top is soaking wet from tears, sometimes you want a book that will hit you with emotions these two are defiantly those books.

All the bright places by Jennifer Niven. Theodore Finch constantly thinks about ways to kill himself. Violet Markey is counting down the days till graduation. I was a mess after reading this book, if you have read this book you will know what i mean. You really need to read this book, its perfect for everybody even if you are a fantasy lover like me you will still love this book.

I don't think i have to go into much detail about this one. Lou Clark world is about to change when she loses her job. Will Traynor doesn't know that Lou is about to walk into his life. I don't know what i'm going to look like after i watch the film. I started crying half way through as i knew how it was going to end. Its a heartbreaking read but it makes you think about everything, but i think its defiantly one of those books where you just have to read.

Thank you for reading.

Disappointing reads.

Hello everybody today i thought i would do something a little different and talk about the books i didn't really enjoy. I have read many books because of the hype on bookstagram or book tube, these four i wasn't impressed with.

The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey is the first one. This story is about Cassie Sullivan saving her brother. I really wanted to like this book but maybe the genre dystopian isn't for me but i found to be really slow pace, or it could of been because i was reading this while in a reading slump. it just didn't wow me. I carried on reading this as wanted to see whether i could get into it because i did really wanted to read it. Honestly i don't think i will carry on reading this series.

Allegiant by Veronica Roth. I really enjoyed Divergent and Insurgent i read it in a couple of days. As Allegiant has just come out as a film which i haven't seen yet, i thought i would pick it up. At first i was skeptical as i have read many mixed reviews. Looking back at it now i didn't enjoy it, there was just something missing which was a shame because the first two book in the series i did enjoy i would recommend then to you.

The maze runner by James Dashner. I have to say the film was better then the book. I finished this book because i did want to find out what happened to them all. There were parts where i did enjoy. The second book in this series The scorch trails, i couldn't get into this book at all i stopped half way through nothing happened.

The fault in our stars by John Green. The film was amazing unfortunately  i wasn't a fan of the book. I read this book because of the hype, Its just not this book i didn't like from John Green i tried to read Paper Town i got half way through and gave the book to a friend.

I hoped you enjoyed something a little different. Comment down below which book you have read that you was disappointed with?

Review: City of Glass by Cassandre Clare #3 Mortal Instruments

Pages- 496
Genre- YA, Fantasy, Romance
Release date- March 24th 2009
Published by- Margaret K. McElderry books

About this book-
To save her mother's life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters - never mind that entering the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and Simon has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight.

As Clary uncovers more about her family's past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadowhunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadowhunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he's willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her newfound powers to help save the Glass City - whatever the cost?

My thoughts-
Shadow hunters must put aside there differences with vampires, were wolfs and the other downworlders to fight in a war against Valentine. But will they be able to that? With all this happening will Jace and Clary decide if they can be with each other.

At the beginning i was skeptical as i had no idea what was going to happen, i didn't know what to expect. Honestly at the beginning Clary was really annoying, she wouldn't do what she was told, she was determined to find Ragnor Fell Clary will do anything to safe her mother. At the beginning Clary acts like a child by the end of the book people stop and finally listen to her.

I really liked Jace, all he wanted to do was to protect Clary to keep her away. But he also wanted to find out who he truly is there are many questions to be answered. You see the softer side of him, you don't see the usual Jace the strong, fighter, you see the caring side of him. I think that is why i liked him more then i did in the other two books.

The pace was slow at first, everything sort of happened in the middle and the end. Questions were answered though in between i think that is why i carried on reading because i wanted to know who Jace really is, i wanted to learn more about Sebastien. The writing was in great detail it didn't take much effort to imagine what everything looked like. Cassandre Clare writing is very detailed, the battle scenes in this book were really good.

I have this book 4 stars on goodreads, i did enjoy it towards the end. I thought the ending was perfect, each character grew in there own way through out the book. The reason didn't give it five stars was because at times Cassandre Clare writing could be a little too long when she is describing something other then that i really enjoyed reading it.

Thank you for reading, If you have read this book what did you think of it?

Recommendations

Hey everybody hope you are all doing well. today i am going to recommend some books that i have read and really enjoyed.

My first recommendation is Talon by Julie Kagawa, this is the first book in the Talon series. Ember and Dante Hills are dragons, Ember wants to be like any other teenager, Dante follows the rules. They learn things about each other that will change everything. This is my first dragon book that i have read which i loved, i need to pick more of them up. If you have any recommendations of dragon books please leave a comment down below. This book has also got an amazing cover, after finishing it i wanted more after wards.

My second recommendation is Me before you by Jojo Moyes. I think you would of all probably heard about this book so i won't ramble on too much. Lou Clark has a new job it is to care for Will Traynor. But its more then that it is to be there for him when he needs it the most. You will feel all the emotions reading this book you will laugh then you'll cry. I recommend this book to anyone even if you love fantasy like i do you will still enjoy Me before you.

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin is my third recommendation. After waking up in an hospital bed with no memory of how she go here. Mara will slowly learn things about herself, in the meantime she will have to get on with her life while falling in love. Once you start you won't be able to put it down, you want to know what happened to Mara that night, you want to learn about Noah.

Lastly i recommend Dream a little dream by Giovanna Fletcher. Sarah starts to dream about Brett Last a man who she hasn't seen in years, until one day he turns up at work. This is my first Giovanna Fletcher book i have read i am defiantly going to be picking up the rest of them. This is a perfect, quick and easy read.

Review- My life next door by Huntley Fitzpatrick

Pages- 453
Genre- Contemporary, Young adult
Release date- June 14th 2012
Published by- Dial books

About this books-
The Garretts are everything the Reeds are not. Loud, messy, affectionate. And every day from her rooftop perch, Samantha Reed wishes she was one of them . . . until one summer evening, Jase Garrett climbs up next to her and changes everything.

As the two fall fiercely for each other, stumbling through the awkwardness and awesomeness of first love, Jase's family embraces Samantha - even as she keeps him a secret from her own. Then something unthinkable happens, and the bottom drops out of Samantha's world. She's suddenly faced with an impossible decision. Which perfect family will save her? Or is it time she saved herself?

A transporting debut about family, friendship, first romance, and how to be true to one person you love without betraying another.

My thoughts-

Samantha not only has to deal with falling in love with Jase Garrett. But she has to deal with her mum, her mum new boyfriend and her best friend Nan.

I gave this book 4 stars on goodreads, i did really enjoy it. The beginning was slow to begin with but i think that helped with the romance between Samantha and Jase as it wasn't too fast like most books i have read where they fall instantly in love. I have no idea why it took me almost a week to finish this book, this book is one of those where you can start in the morning and finish in the afternoon.

Jase Garrett lives in a big family. I loved his family the way his mum accepted Samantha into the family straight away, they love each and it really shows in the writing. He is just perfect.
Samantha is the opposite, she only has one sister who is away for most of the summer and her mother who is very busy with her next election. But when her mother is around so is too busy.

This book isn't just about Jase and Samantha, it is also about Nan and her brother Tim, throughout you will learn about there struggles and how they are going to cope with them.

The only thing i was disappointed with was the ending with everything that happens i feel like there are many question that aren't answered.

If this books has been on your radar for awhile now i would defiantly pick it up, if you are looking  for a great contemporary this is a book for you.
