About this book from Goodreads-
See me just as I see you . . .

Colin Hancock is giving his second chance his best shot. With a history of violence and bad decisions behind him and the threat of prison dogging his every step, he's determined to walk a straight line. To Colin, that means applying himself single-mindedly toward his teaching degree and avoiding everything that proved destructive in his earlier life. Reminding himself daily of his hard-earned lessons, the last thing he is looking for is a serious relationship.

Maria Sanchez, the hardworking daughter of Mexican immigrants, is the picture of conventional success. With a degree from Duke Law School and a job at a prestigious firm in Wilmington, she is a dark-haired beauty with a seemingly flawless professional track record. And yet Maria has a traumatic history of her own, one that compelled her to return to her hometown and left her questioning so much of what she once believed.

A chance encounter on a rain-swept road will alter the course of both Colin and Maria's lives, challenging deeply held assumptions about each other and ultimately, themselves. As love unexpectedly takes hold between them, they dare to envision what a future together could possibly look like . . . until menacing reminders of events in Maria's past begin to surface.

As a series of threatening incidents wreaks chaos in Maria's life, Maria and Colin will be tested in increasingly terrifying ways. Will demons from their past destroy the tenuous relationship they've begun to build, or will their love protect them, even in the darkest hour?

My Review-
Colin Hancock and Maria Sanchez are two totally opposite poeple but when a stormy night brings them together, Maria sister Serena makes sure that isn't the case.

When i picked up this book i didn't know much about it other then i will probably like it as i love Nicholas Sparks writing i was right i wasn't disappointed.

Colin has a past he is on his last chance with the law one more slip up he is thrown into jail with this chance he isn't letting anything get in the way, if he's not in classes or at work Colin is at the gym. I really liked Colin he's the perfect boyfriend even with his past he knows he has done wrong and doing everything he can to flip it around. He has Evan and Lily on his side throughout it all.

Maria is the opposite as she works with the law whereas Colin used to be against it, Maria has a family which love her unlike Colin's family they have a retraining order against him. But we learn early on in the book that Maria life isn't as perfect as it seems to be, a case from her old job has stuck with her.

I loved See Me i wasn't expecting the mystery side to it at moments it was tense i had to read a couple of sentences twice because i wasn't expecting that, i couldn't put it down once i started i couldn't stop. This book isn't just about the romance its about Colin understanding that his past was wrong that what he did was bad and that with this second chance he is more then determined to not have that life again, he wants to help children so they don't turn out like him. Maria has to learn that her past will catch up and that she has to sort is out once and fur all so she can have the life with Colin she wants. Friends play a big part to Maria has her sister and Jill, Colin has Ethan and Lily who will do anything so Colin can have the life he wants.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a romance but also a mystery that keeps you thinking if you do read this you won't get bored.
